The Virginia Neighborhood Assistance Program
This memorandum was prepared by the Phoenix Project and describes the Virginia Neighborhood Assistance Program which allows qualifying nonprofits to offer significant state tax credit to donors. To qualify, nonprofits must have obtained tax exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service and have as its primary function the mission of serving impoverished individuals in Virginia. An annual application is required.
The Center for the Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship
CASE is a research and education center that promotes the entrepreneurial pursuit of social impact through the thoughtful adaptation of business expertise. Led by J. Gregory Dees, widely recognized as the pioneer of the study of social entrepreneurship, CASE develops and disseminates knowledge on the concept and process of social entrepreneurship, economic strategies for social impact, scaling social impact, and entrepreneurial philanthropy.
